best trip so far! day 2!

american breakfast was served at the hotel, and omelettes were made by an extremely grumpy looking lady. i think she kept frowning because she was trying to understand how we wanted our eggs made, but it did prevent us from ordering more portions of scrambled eggs/omelettes.

ok fine, it was just me. I wanted more eggs and i just didn't dare order more, ok?

anyways! we had the morning free, so we headed down to the beach for some sun and frisbee. ok actually, it was just the 6 of them. i hid under the shade of a huge brolly and nua-ed on a deck chair. it felt goooood... oh i took tons of photos of everyone playing frisbee. they were mostly nice, but there was just one rather embarrassing series of angeline attempting to catch her frisbee. hahahaha, everyone split their sides open laughing. well, except her of course. heeh.

after frisbee and prodding a huge-ass beached jellyfish, we headed back to the hotel in wait of the minivan that was to take us to some pier.

phang nga/james bond island tour: 2100 baht

ok we took a boat ride out to phang nga, which is known as james bond island because one of the james bond movies had been filmed there before. those few islands around the region were gorgeous. i can't describe it. the photos will help.

first the boat went around the islands, then we reached an area where we picked up our canoeists. following that, we headed off to Hong island, where we left the 'mother ship' and made our way to the Hongs by canoe. i shared a canoe with alvin and wai coz we had an odd number, and we were the first to head off from the mother ship! whee!

A 'hong' means room in thailand, so hong island had like lagoons inside the caves and that was where we were headed towards. our guide (canoeist) was this really fun dude who kept calling me a lady-boy!!! grrr. he took us through the caves first... it was pitch black, and then we saw light!! coolness. but we had no idea how we were going to squeeze through that teeny-weeny hole until he said 'lie down lie down', so me, alvin and wai lay on top of each other and tried not to talk coz water was dripping down from the stalactites.

voila! we were out in the open, in this extremely still lagoon where the silence was rather deafening. then one hong, led to another, then we moved on to other islands to go into more hongs. it felt really peaceful once u were in one... until chuu, binbin, hon and angeline caught up. hahaha. we're a damn noisy bunch among all the other koreans that joined us for the phang nga tour. hehe.

after taking some picturesque shots, we headed back to the mother ship and made 'loy kratongs'. i had no idea what is was for, just that it looked pretty and we were gonna light them, and then float them into a cave. :D

alvin and wai did our flowers while i just sat back and relax one corner (yeah i know i am damn lazy, but they were so excited to make it!! so i let them lor...). we got off the mother ship again coz we had to take a canoe out to phang nga, and release the flowers in the cave there. once we reached the cave, i got into my 2nd accident.

i stubbed my 2nd toe. dammit u know!!! then binbin came around and HE started the whole 'poseidon sacrifice' thing coz i keep getting into some kind of water accident. -_-"'

so we let our flowers off, and the bunch of us were wondering where the flowers were gonna float to, and if there was a tour everyday, where did the previous tours' flowers accumulate?? on our way back to the canoe, we knew... we walked past a bunch of kids with plastic bags, collecting all the beached up loy kratongs. they promptly stopped and grinned toothily, pretending nothing happened once they spotted us. or when their employer whispered 'tourist! tourist!!'

hahahahahahaha.

after all that, as we headed back to our mother ship, my canoe had a short water spraying fun with binbin and chuu's canoe. we came out drier than they were!! woot! (binbin started it.)

we were supposed to see the sunset on the boat, but the skies were too stormy and cloudy, so we just had our dinner onboard and went back to phuket. we were all tired out from nua-ing the entire day, so once back at the hotel, we just congregated in one room and played the water game for awhile... then me, alvin and wai watched 30 rock AGAIN before going to bed.
