break my heart for what breaks Yours
Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like you have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks yours
Everything I am for your kingdom's cause
As I walk from earth into eternity
Hosanna, Hillsong United
--------
went over to joe's place for my FIRST EVER jamming session and i went there to sing because
1. the original singer is drumming (joe)
2. nobody else could be there; we had one bassist (alvin), one guitarist (daniel), one drummer (joe), and... me. go figure.
ok my voice is really thin and weak, and because of that NOBODY has ever told me i had a nice voice except aileen and kelda (because they are beautiful people; i don't believe them though) and the 2 people whom i have sang to quietly before. i believe those 2 whom i have sang softly to, because i know other than the fact that my voice cannot carry, it is pretty ok and sweet. i hate my voice on the mike because when i have to raise my voice over the amps and the drum... woah it is nasty.
SO ANYWAY!
we did Hosanna from the new United album, 'All of the Above'. have you heard the lead's voice on that track? she sounds so ethereal and it is so beautiful. it's a song that i really love, but can't really sing because its range is quite high -
but i did it anyway. because i imagined 'this is not jamming, this is worship; this is worship.'
and it worked! i think i did ok. because i sang it for God and it pleases Him. :D
i'd love to jam and sing praises again! please invite me again if you need a female voice! i can sound manly too, no worries. (i am actually an alto, but shh...)
on another note, i am very proud of the boys because i think they executed the song really well. when just the 3 of them started the song off, it was so good i was almost startled into not being able to begin myself. haha!
lovely. =)
