so what happened on the 2nd of april?

JADE! this post is for u! hehehehehe...

alvin and i had a plan for ME to lose some weight, so to make him happy (it's his birthday ma), i went jogging in the morning for 40 minutes. i am so proud of myself! i think the brand new sports bra helps. it makes me feel sporty.

i felt so hot after that. heh heh.

then i took a shower and hopped back into sports wear, but this time it was for cycling. yep, i met alvin and after a lazy lunch, we hit east coast to try out our new wide angle lomo camera. we both rented bicycles and rode out to bedok jetty. the beach was so pretty and empty! *sigh* i love taking leave.

<---- *SQUEAL!* AEROPLANE!!!! :D

these are the pictures from my digicam. the lomo pictures aren't developed yet, will scan the nice ones in once they're done!

gosh, i love cycling.

by 3:30pm alvin's alarm (yeah, he actually set an alarm -_-) signalling that we should be going back already.

'alvin, where on earth are you bringing me??'

'you'll find out la... maybe you shouldn't have expectations that are too high.'

'is it... *gasp* ARE YOU BRINGING ME TO THE WHEELIE THING??'

'what wheelie thing?'

'that wheelie thing.'

'??????'

'... OH OH I KNOW!!! WE'RE GOING TO CLARKE QUAY TO TRY THE SUPERMAN RIDE!!!'

'no la, we're going to town.'

'what the heck - are we going to Jaben??!?!?! i will smack you so hard if we are.'

(Jaben is alvin's audiophilic heaven. it's a shop that sells audio equipment.)

'no la!!! ok stop asking.'

alvin was cycling ahead of me and i saw him laugh at a girl cycling past him. i check out the girl, and it was xiangjun! haha, what are the odds man! we had a short conversation that went like this:

xj: hey! how come you all are here?
me: took leave!
xj: hahahaha, BYEEeeeee...ee... (fades away)

*ZOOM*

yes, all this happened in a span of cycling past each other at top speed. not bad at all.

alvin and i raced each other to the bike shop (i lost, stupid bike $@^$#), had big cups of milo at Mac's, and then he attempted to piggy-back me home (the day's activities have not been kind to my legs) but ended up injuring me in places unmentionable.

'do i need to dress nicely?' alvin asks.

'huh, i'm just wearing jeans.'

'aren't we going to a nice restaurant?'

'yar, but wear jeans can la. as long as you don't look giam chai. and no slippers!'

'yes dear, i know. ok, jeans then. i thought you were going to wear a dress and be swanky.'

'well, i can't do that since we're going cycling right? where are you bringing me before the dinner? OH NO AM I UNDER-DRESSED??!?!'

'no dear, relax! and stop asking!'

me ---> :( + pout

as we walked to the bus stop, alvin decided to flag a cab. WE GOT A MERCEDES CAB! HOW WONDERFUL RIGHT??!?!?! XD

i peeled my ears back to catch where we were going.

'uncle, Singapore Flyer please.'

'AH HA! I KNEW IT! WE ARE GOING TO THE WHEELIE THING!'

'you called it a wheelie thing! it's called the singapore flyer!'

'how i know! i forgot the name, so i described it as the wheelie thing lor! the one with the zhnged lights.'

'yar lar... anyway, i didn't deny it what.'

'oh yar. *squeals* oh gosh this is so exciting!!! :D!!!'

(oh man, i must have sounded so much like a bimbo to the cab uncle. *abashed*)

can i just mention that mercedes cabs are soooooo very comfy? ahhhhhh...

we're reaching!!!

once we got off the cab, i turned to alvin, wiggled my eyebrows and said, 'let's be complete tourists.' he totally agreed and then we started to speak loudly and dotted our speeches with '-neh's, 'so desu's and 'ah no's.

alvin even threw in a 'gamsahamnida' for effect... which blew our cover coz it made me laugh. we're pretending to be japanese! not korean! ahahahahahaha!

they have a really pretty garden sponsored by yakult...

and check it out, i found a belly button shop...

... which sells kimono stuffs. haha, gotcha there!

no? :(

anyways, alvin bought me a really pretty (and really expensive) rubber band.

it's $28 after discount. *faints* it took me seriously long to decide which one to get, coz everything was SO EXPENSIVE. GAH.

oh crap look at the time! we have 5 minutes to get to our capsule!

we rush out of the store, take a quick detour at the loo (the ride's 30 minutes), dash up the escalator, posed for a photo moment...

AND WE'RE IN!

hmm, collaging this crops our faces. BUT IT'S NOT ABOUT THE FACES! IT'S ABOUT THE SCENERY!! CHECKKIT!!!!!!!

oh, so pretty... *click*click* (alvin's also clicking away on his lomo)

<--- floating football pitch. scaryy.

hey it's the other capsule!! HI EVERYBODYYYY *click*click*

alvin: hey dear there's your favorite condo!
me: OH! *CLICK*CLICK*CLICK*

... and then my camera's battery went flat. :(

COZ I DIDN'T KNOW WE WERE GOING UP THERE, DID I??

T_T

we barely made it for this shot, then my trusty fuji gave up on me. *sniff*

ahhh sunsets are always so gorgeous. we knew the sunset was gonna be at 7:12pm that evening, but we were trying to play it safe since the lomo doesn't have flash, so we took the 630-7pm ride, where there's still sufficient light.

if you go, do check the sunset timing and just follow it. and recharge your camera's batteries. i'm still feeling very diao about it.

but all's still good, coz the next stop was Ristorante Bologna which is so alarmingly atas that taking pictures there would seem socially embarrassing.

i regret not dressing up. oh well.

dinner was so good, and the waiters (i can't quite seem to call them waiters... they seem so much more) treated us so nicely, with smiles and ready explanations. everything was going fine until i asked for more water.

after the waiter (*cringe*) left, alvin said, 'hey you know you have to pay for the water right?'

memories of posts from waiterrant.net came up.

'oh crap. i thought we only have to pay for 'sparkling'?'

'no dear. we got 'still'.'

'isn't that tap water??'

the waiter arrives, and opens our second bottle of water and places it, now half-full, at the edge of our table. Panna Aqua, Tuscan - what the... how come i didn't see this just now??!?!

me: 'oh my goodness. how much do you think that is???'

'erm, $15-20 per bottle?'

'OMG DID I JUST PAY $40 FOR WATER??!?!'

imagine our relief when the bill came:

AND, $155 was after 15% discount alright. the bill was actually $181, i think?

oh yes, let's not forget the photo moment at the Singapore Flyer:

and.....

THE END.

yes jade, you can smack us now. heehee.
