weekend joy

every weekend i come back with tons of photos. this is the backlog post, and there's more coming coz i have TWO weddings in the coming two weekends. then i'm off to bangkok! yippeee.

a few weeks back we used halloween as an excuse to dress up in our costumes and give out treats to the residents of melville park. within 30 min, my $40 worth of candy were given out. it was great seeing the kids turning from shy and afraid of rejection become bolder and eventually running up to strangers and shouting GOD BLESS YOU!! HERE! HAVE SOME CANDY!! XD

oh some kids didn't have costumes so we brought down 10 witches hats and made them wear the hats. :D we ended up with a HUGE witch clan.

finally, after hearing about avenue Q from alvin since he got back from work and travel USA 3 years ago, i caught it here in singapore!!!



well, it's not broadway, but i enjoyed it nonetheless. except for the puppet nudity scenes that had me wanting to gouge my eyes out.



and the funny thing was we met so many people! everyone in our group met at least one person from their JC. how coincidental.



after the show we rushed back to marine parade to give alanna her rock band package that came in from USA (and spent some time rocking out; WE WERE DISTRACTED!!!) then rushed down to xinwei's for a bbq which was not some simple affair. there was a whole spread of dishes and the meat was great coz david's a superb cook.
