messy messy
i would like to comment excessively about what alvin and i had been discussing fervently on the way home tonight, but my mind's not clear and i think my words will not mean anything to anyone... so it shall just pause here for a moment, at least till i clear up my thoughts and form an argument amidst all the roundabout conversations my brain is coming up with.
but one pressing issue off the top of my head right now:
we're all adults, and we should not be required to behave like little children who need to be spanked by our leaders. we are, after all, at least 26 years old and can take responsibilities for our actions. but on the other hand, have you shown any of that responsibility that you've been claiming you have recently?
do whatever you want. but just remember that while all things are permissible, not all of them are beneficial.
---
Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you.
and at the same time...
is there a verse that asks leaders not to vex their members? hmm.
