albertine

alvin and i walked into gramophone at taka last week just to browse, and the store was featuring a sweet female vocalist, which i pondered for a moment and guessed that it might be delta goodrem.

that drew us toward the empty cd sleeve placed above the cd player. it was Albertine, by Brooke Fraser.

i went, 'ooh, wrong guess. hehe. dunno who she is... she's got a really nice voice though.'

meanwhile, alvin sits on the couch and listens to the music. then he suddenly stood up, took the cd and checks through the song list.

'hey it's christian, i think? she just sang, 'Faith without deeds is dead'.'

'really?? hmm. wonder who she is...'

then alvin joked, 'haha maybe she's from hillsong.'

then it hit me why her name and voice was so familiar. 'OH MY GOODNESS IT IS!!! IT'S HER!! SHE IS! GAH! WE JUST SAW HER ON STAGE THAT DAY IT'S THE UNITED GIRL THE ONE THAT SANG HOSANNA AND LEAD ME TO THE CROSS OMGOMGOMGOMG HOW DID I FORGET, GOSH!!!'

i think we were making too much noise, coz we were so awestruck by how we were drawn by the voice and making a really accidental discovery, so the salesgirl came and changed the cd to marie digby. bleh.

brooke's voice is so soothing. :D:D:D
