Jason Mraz - A Beautiful Mess
You’ve got the best of both worlds You’re the kind of girl who can take down a man then lift him back up again You are strong but you’re needy, humble but you’re greedy And based on your body language and shouted cursive I’ve been reading Your style is quite selective though your mind is rather reckless Well I guess it just suggests that this is just what happiness is
And what a beautiful mess this is It’s like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you write Kind of turn themselves into knives And don’t mind my nerve you could call it fiction But I like being submerged in your contradictions dear Cause here we are, here we are
Although you were biased I love your advice Your comebacks they’re quick and probably have to do with your insecurities There’s no shame in being crazy, depending on how you take these words I’m paraphrasing this relationship we’re staging
And what a beautiful mess this is It’s like picking up trash in dresses
Well it kind of hurts when the kind of words you say Kind of turn themselves into blades And the kind and courteous is a life I’ve heard But it’s nice to say that we played in the dirt Oh dear cause here we are, Here we are
We're still here
What a beautiful mess this is It’s like taking a guess when the only answer is yes
And through timeless words and priceless pictures We’ll fly like birds not of this earth And tides they turn and hearts disfigure But that’s no concern when we’re wounded together And we tore our dresses and stained our shirts But it's nice today, oh the wait was so worth it
been working harder than usual (because working hard is relative) lately, so when alvin and i popped by parkway parade and saw a Japanese food imports fair, ALVIN WENT ALL GENEROUS AND STARTED GETTING LOADS OF COMFORT FOOD FOR US! (mainly me, if you look at the selection... haha).
to start with, i blame famous amos for packing weirdly different cookies in their off the shelf packages, which made me crave for cookies from the actual shop.
once we saw the famous amos store at Parkway, of course we bought them... and alvin paid for everything yay yay yay!!
"EEYUR DON'T BUY THE ONE OFF THE SHELVES EEYUR."
and then we saw the fair in the atrium.
*smacks alvin frantically* omgomgomg japanese food stuffs!!!
this was our load:
our bulk purchases:
alvin says oreos and ritz is just different in japan. we'll see.
these aren't normal potato chips...
they're TAKOPACHI FLAVOURED!!! XD
and these aren't normal sticks u dip in strawberry dip... THEY'RE CHOCOLATE STICKS!!! XD
and chekkit!! scallop flavoured chips!! XD
alvin's digestives; flavour: yam? tapioca? sweet potato??? with bits of sesame.
alvin also got me rock melon icecream crepes, rows of mini poifulls and chocobabies (?), and japanese curry cubes for mummy.
heeh, mad grocery shopping is great fun. random throwing of everything that looked good to us, FTW! :D
i loved it the moment when a Belarus man fell off his high bar, but when he stepped onto the mats for his second attempt the crowd roared their encouragement. ahhh... *heart swells*

yay for ms quah who led beautifully in the swim heats (medley)... but lost by a mile to another korean lady. it's ok! you're cool! :D
