POTENTIAL PARTEH
Date: 1st January 2009 Venue: Alvin's place at Marine Drive (near TC) Time: 2-ish pm
This is an OPEN HOUSE PARTEH. and we're sizing up the crowd to rock out loud (as long as the neighbours permit). Also, not confirmed yet, see numbers first lah hor. We also only have Rock Band 1. On the XBOX. Feel free to check out the list of downloadable songs online here to tell me if you want to request any songs.
i actually managed to clear my room of all that junk in the corner (but only the corner junk). chekkit out!!
all that's left are my expired Konapun donuts, takopachi and cake shops. anybody wanna play?
and i think my gift wrapping skills are legendary... in a bad sense of the word. these are for my girls at tomorrow's party. :)
i even managed to reach town on time to go for a high tea buffet at Carousel with my department. it was such a lousy buffet though. ugh. never going back there again.
and again, UGH.
after all that lousy food, alvin sped down to town to look for me!! YAY!! i was just going to walk around town looking for presents for two particular persons, but in the end alvin and i bought enough for 9!!! haha. and none for the two in mind. distracted, as usual!
all thanks to the takashimaya toy fair. we're such suckers for it every year. heheh.
the gigantic mickey glove!
the gigantic polar bear (which we have a smaller version of, and we call it Beary! yes, i know we aren't very original. he's alvin's substitute whenever alvin goes overseas so Beary's with me now! i love his heavy paws.)
zzz.
heh, i wonder who this is going to...
extremely pretty packaging. once i realized that gift wrapping was FREE, i made a beeline for the queue even before alvin asked 'are we gift wrapping?'
i have such sad skillz as compared to this:
where is he "move it" moving it to? heheheh.
i got very excited (like the boy on the box) and thought about emmanuel immediately. how? should i get this for him? it's $79.90 discounted from a price of $299.90.
with this kinda weather i can't go anywhere!! gah!
but i can wear my extremely warm jacket that would normally kill me in singapore! *always look on the bright side of life! (whistling)*
david and jade came to visit at FCBC. chekkit!!
looks extremely like wally here.
woo! i love the background here!
poor jade was struggling with some sinus problems due to:
1. lack of sleep 2. over exertion in KTV 3. uncommonly cold weather in sg 4. crazy aircon vents in the expo
they left for dinner soon after! :)
---
emmanuel was rather hyper yesterday which made him a handful but he was smiling loads, so out came my camera!
aww he's such a cutie pie. i probably won't forget him cramming that last gummy that was meant for jacq into his mouth in one defiant swoop. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! he even laughed evil-y while chewing his gummy.
---
ALVIN IS HOME!!! and after traipsing through terminal 2 for, what, 3 hours? i bought him this!!
monday: pack my room, throw out old clothes (so i can buy more muahahaha), wash all the stuff alvin bought from bangkok, round up the numbers of kids coming for tomorrow's party, wrap my presents for the kids, prepare games to discuss with jacq, call ashley and order cupcakes, call aileen and give her the numbers, prepare my testimony, go for high tea with the department and meet alvin!!! (GASP, CHOKE)
tuesday: decorate the room, have the party, meet jade and kel for some hard core shopping while i search for more presents (hey maybe we can hit vivocity, they've got almost every brand under one roof. i'm free from 4pm!)
wednesday: need to collect my belt from chinatown, japanese buffet that mustn't be forgotten, watch bolt 3D with tricia (david and jade u wanna come?), NIGHT SAFARIIII
on the second day of my leave (my, my, i've been busy) i brought my girls out for some cycling.
'be careful,' warned one of the parents. 'the weather report predicted thunderstorms.'
we waited for the bus for SO LONG (*waves fist at bus #12*) we decided to cab down, and rent the bikes from the big splash. unfortunately, jolie couldn't cycle so i had to sacrifice myself and share the really teeny weeny tandem bicycle with her (i wasn't tall enough for the more comfy tandem bike, boohoo.)
within 5 minutes the base of my pelvic bone felt like it was going to crack apart. with all hopes of cycling to the airport runway dashed, we made a pit stop at bedok jetty.
sara was full of accidents!!
gloomy skies and the clouds were rolling in... (it's not my ISO)
natalie and the twins, melissa and ashley
marissa and i
my heart shaped rock
hahahahahahahahaha
and then... it started to drizzle. as we were cycling away from bedok jetty to find some shelter, we decided that cycling in the rain was pretty darn fun, so we continued...
and then it poured. sara was squealing away and her glasses were so blurred out that she crashed into a thornbush.
TWICE. *sigh*
hahaha brave little sara
her bestie, jolie
the girls trying to wash away all that sand
camera-shy marissa
natalieee
the rain held up for abit, so we left our shelter after a short attempt trying to teach jolie how to cycle. AND THEN IT POURED AGAIN!!! we hid in Laguna food centre and waited it out. once it stopped we sped to macdonald's, and parked our bikes, looking like drenched idiots. thank goodness we did, because the next moment it started pouring again! gah!
macdonald's! macdonald's!
once the rain held up we were on our bikes again! this time, jolie grabbed hold of my camera and while i pedaled away she snapped shots from my back.
sara, who once again, crashed into muddy waters after this shot. *squeaaaaal*
after 3 hours of torturous tandem biking and hiding in and out from the thunderstorm, we arrived!!
they could hardly walk properly anymore.
on my way to steal one of the girls' bikes for a quick COMFORTABLE spin. haha, yeah the speedster in me couldn't take it anymore. i grabbed one of the yellow bikes and went for a spin. i was cycling so fast the water from the front wheel flicked up to my face. acks!
bloody tandem thing @$$^%#^!!
we reposed at Carl's Junior. milkshake, anyone?
as we were walking back to take bus 12, the girls decided to have some photo fun.
